The Offshore Data service is designed to be used by people who have a deep interest in the weather, while operating in remote areas - such as Offshore sailors. Of course, everybody operating in remote areas are welcome.
The Offshore Data service has been highly optimized for efficient delivery of weather data, while using low bandwidth connections.
Works with many of the leading providers of satellite data. The Iridium GO! and the RedPort Optimizer are both supported.
Works with SSB/Pactor radio connections.
Data can be downloaded directly from the server cluster, through a satellite connection, or obtained via email. Many of the leading providers of email for remote communications are supported.
The Offshore Data weather file service is offered, at a nominal charge, as an in-app purchase in LuckGrib. This is not a subscription service - you only pay once.
Just as with the LuckGrib app itself, the Offshore Data weather service is available on macOS and iOS (iPhone and iPad.)
Works with XGate, SailMail and UUPlus, even when they are running on Windows.
